Instructions for use

Shake the bag to ensure that the contents are distributed evenly through the whole length of the bag. For large plants such as tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, marrows and melons – one to two plants per bag will give better results than using more plants. Make drainage slits in the side of the bag to allow adequate drainage for roots. Guide to Planting and Watering In each planting position, scoop out a hole in the compost large enough to accommodate the roots of the young plant and carefully insert one plant into each hole. Take care to avoid any root damage. Gently work compost around plant roots, and water well taking care not to over water which may cause leaching of nutrients or water logging. Place in a sunny position. Before planting, water thoroughly, however avoid water logging of the bag. During the first week after planting the growing bag will not require further watering. Each week gradually increase the amount of watering. The bag may need to be watered up to twice daily during hot summer conditions. As the plants develop train using canes for maximum light penetration and circulation if required.

Once the first fruit sets, regular liquid feeding should commence in accordance with the recommendations for use of the liquid feed being used. Storage Store in clean, dry and cool conditions, out of bright sunlight. Make sure it cannot be contaminated by garden chemicals such as weed killers.
