It also displays brilliant holding ability, allowing stalks to be left in the ground and harvested whole, or just enough harvested for one meal. Harvest September-December. Height 70-80cm (27-31"); spread 40-50cm (16-20"). Growing Information Sow in a finely raked 'seedbed' outdoors early March-April. For early crops, sow in frames or under cloches during February. Transplant to final growing positions at 60–90cm (2–3') apart in well-firmed soil May-early June.
